Why I'm not making Lego videos.

Recently I officially put A Bus Studios into hatius. I haven't made a video on that channel in a long time and I don't see myself uploading any new videos anytime soon. There are several reasons why I'm not making anymore videos.

(1) My most loyal fans would know that I've started year 11 and the workload is higher than all my previous years of schooling. I'm spending more time studying and doing schoolwork than ever before. It wont be better much year either as thats when I start year 12, my final year of education (thats unless I decide to go to TAFE or university).

(2) Another important reason is that I've lost motivation for making Lego's. Legona Brickville hasn't been touched in ages and me and my parents made the recent decision to take it down all together as it's just sitting there collecting dust. So far the airport has been dissasembled with the rest of the town to go within the next couple of weeks.

(3) Ever since these new channels came out, Youtube has become boring. I feel as though the community was destroyed when these new channels came out. No one goes on other channels and comments on them anymore. All the channels are is some dull lifeless page. Previously everyone was commenting away on other peoples channels, everything was all together on the one page which made browsing the channel easy and everyone had the ability to customise their channels completely. When the new channels came along, all of this was taken away.

(4) The biggest reason however is my commitment to other hobbies. As some of you may know I have always loved trains. I used to upload on Abus709 some trains at my local station and at the big Flinders Street station recording electric suburban trains. Over the last 10 months thanks to my HD camcorder, I have been able to expand my hobby. It's now expanded so far that it's now what I spend all my leisure time on, recording transport related videos and uploading them to youtube. Through all of this, I've made a number of new friends who are other transport enthusiasts from all over Melbourne. We all go out on day trips going to various locatins recording and taking photos of trains and buses (and to model railway shows where my friends who have money have a shopping spree on new model trains). I've also gained the confidence to get out of the house and venture far far away to film various things. Both of these I wouldn't have gained from continuing to make Lego films. I feel as though I've become more independent and have developed more as a person thanks to this hobby and I don't think I'm going to quit it anytime soon.

Even though I barely use Abus709 anymore, I still use my other channel ThebusofdoomFSX quite frequently. Infact, I shouldn't even be calling it my other channel anymore as I now see it as my main youtube channel. Sure it doesn't have over a million channel views and a thousand subscribers, but it's updated frequently with new videos and it's part of a hobby that I enjoy. I even made a Facebook page for it. Now I know all 970 of my youtube subscribers aren't going to start watching my train videos all of a sudden and subscribe to the other channel, but it's always there if you want to look at it.
